Corrections Policy
Our Commitment
At Ufaq.live, we strive for perfect accuracy in our reporting. However, journalism is a fast-paced endeavor, and occasionally, errors occur. We believe that acknowledging and correcting our mistakes promptly and transparently is fundamental to maintaining the trust of our readers and upholding our editorial integrity.
How We Handle Corrections
When a factual error in our content is identified, either by our staff or brought to our attention by a reader, our editorial team investigates the claim immediately. If an error is verified, we take the following steps:
- Update the Content: The factual error within the article is corrected as swiftly as possible.
- Append a Notice: A clear "Correction" notice is added to the bottom (or top, depending on severity) of the article. This notice explicitly states what the original error was, the correct information, and the date and time of the correction.
Types of Corrections
We distinguish between different types of post-publication changes:
- Corrections: Applied when a substantive factual error was made (e.g., an incorrect name, date, statistic, or core premise).
- Clarifications: Applied when the original text was factually accurate but potentially misleading or ambiguous, and we have updated the phrasing to improve clarity.
- Updates: Applied when new information becomes available after a story has been published that significantly changes the context or facts of the ongoing story.
- Typographical Errors: Minor spelling, grammatical, or formatting errors that do not affect the meaning of the article are typically fixed directly without an appended notice.
How to Report an Error
We rely on our readers to help us maintain our high standards. If you spot a factual error, please let us know by emailing our editorial team at:
When reporting an error, please include the URL of the article in question, a description of the error, and, if possible, a link to the correct information. We review all submissions carefully.
